The 23rd Bucks 5K Series completed a very successful year in 2018. The Series and the seven races contributed $117,000 to our local, community-based non-profit organizations. This brings the total to more than $1.6 million since 2002.
More than 3000 5K racers and Fun runners enjoyed the events. For the first time, the Break-Fast 5K also included a 10K race. The races include some of the fastest runners in the area, complete families, and runners whose ages span 5 years to 80 years.
The overall Series champions were Tracey Sawyer and Bob Pultorak. They were both also overall winners in 2014. In fact, they each have won three overall championships. Bob was also the Masters Age-Graded champ in 2017.
The Masters Age-Graded champions were Nancy Smith and Todd Wiley. They are both highly-ranked master runners and tri-athletes in the Philadelphia area.
All of the Age Group winners are listed at bucks5kseries.com. Many of them contributed to the 28 course records set in 2018. Course records are listed on the individual race page.
