2022 Race Season off to a great start

This past weekend the Blaze of Glory took place.

340 Registered 5K Runners and 17 1st Alarm Fun Runners getting splashed with beautiful colors.

Initially, the weather looked bleak based on the weather forecast but turned out to be a great day.

I did hear how much fun everyone had running uphill against the wind. As the saying goes, it helps make you a better runner.

The top 3 male finishers were Mathew Brown 17:19, Garrett Hynson 17:27, and Andrew Johnson 17:50

The top 3 female finishers were Abigail Lantz 20:13, Stephanie Savastano 20:20 and Amy Bignault 21:14

The top 3 male masters age graded finishers were Bob Boland 79.53%, Vitaly Belotserkovski 75.26%, and Bob Morrow 74.96%

The top 3 female masters age graded finishers were Gert Freas 82.12%, Ann Krisher 79.44% and Judy Dixon 77.59%

Three special noteworthy times that should be congratulated, go to:

- Jessica Clymer, a Plumsteadville Volunteer Firefighter, ran the 5K race in gear with a finishing time of 32:07.
- Fourth overall male finisher at 18:06 is 14 year old Aaryan Katiyar.
- Fourth overall female finisher at 22:26 is 10 year old Isha Awasthi.

All proceeds from the Blaze of Glory 5K go directly to the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company. Thank you to all the participants, volunteers and sponsors. Please register and mark your calendar for the next 5 Bucks 5K Series events:
