To qualify for the 2021 Series Awards only the in- person races will count towards overall standings. Our five (5) in-person races include the Blaze of Glory 5K, Bookin’ for Lookin’ 5K, Doylestown 5K Race, the Break-Fast 5K and the Break-Fast 10K. A runner must choose between the two Break-Fast races.
The in-person races also offer a virtual race format which is not eligible for awards. The YMCA Bucks Strong 5K and Chalfont Challenge are both virtual only this year. The in-person races will be chip-timed and will not use gun times this year. Series awards will be based on four (4) in-person races. The first overall men and women (in each) race will receive overall series points in the overall series standings. The first seven (7) men and women in each age group (in each race) will receive age group series points in the age group series standings. The total points accumulated in the four (4) races will determine the championships – overall and age group. To qualify for the overall and age group awards, a runner must run at least two (2) in-person races.
There will be no series awards for the virtual races
The overall masters age-graded male and female winners will also be pulled out of their age groups. In the event of a tie, there will be co-champions, and duplicate awards will be provided. Series Points will be posted after the first four races are completed. What is age-graded?
Each runner from 8th place on receives 1 point for each race finished.
Only a top 7 finish will post your name on the Series Standings.
